Arrest and Booking Information

When someone has been arrested in the San Francisco area, they will likely first be transported to a booking and processing intake location at 425 7th Street, which is under the jurisdiction of the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department. The SFSD administers all of San Francisco's six county jails.

When arrested, defendants will be booked into the jail’s computer system. The booking process generally consists of photographing, fingerprinting, etc. Their information will also be entered into a nation-wide computer database for a background check. Once complete, they may be transported to the Bryant Street jail. This process can take up to several hours to complete.

The Bryant Street Jail is located at 850 Bryant Street in San Francisco. The jail staff cannot let us know exactly when the defendant will be released, however once they are, they will have access to a phone. When released from jail, inmates will be escorted to County Jail #9, which is also called the Intake and Release Facility.

Bail Bond Costs

A bail bond in San Francisco; as well in all of California will cost 10% which is mandated by law. This is a non-refundable percentage of the total amount of the bail. For example, should the bail amount be $10,000, your portion would be $1,000 to have them released. We accept all major credit cards and cash.
